We're So Back
On The Horse, At Least.
Hello. It has been quite a few minutes since my last check-in. A lot happened in such a short amount of time; I lost 2 family members, ended up in and out of the ER, and also came down with a bout of laryngitis. This, on top of some already existing stressors that are just part of life, made me fall away from many social media platforms, including Substack. But — I am happy to say that I have been a busy little bee in the meantime!
Dakishimete! launched on ComicFury and it has been doing well, even if there are only 4 pages sitting up at this time. My art drive took a big hit while mourning, which pretty much everyone understands, but yesterday I hopped right back up on the horse and got back into the groove and it has felt so good.
While I have been away, there has been a lot of work being done on the comic —- mainly the cast and the plot, which is now shaping up very nicely thanks to my having swapped one character out for another. This character is fun to draw and causes a lot of trouble for our main characters so it’s going to be a ton of fun.
I’m very happy and excited to announce that I am getting back into the groove of everything again. I’m planning on making a very big new Obsidian video in the near future as well —- so keep your ear on the ground for that one. (You don’t have to; I’ll make a ton of noise when the time comes, haha!) As I get back into being creative rather than just productive, I do so with hope and excitement in my heart. I’ll be back with another update much sooner than this last time. Stay gold and frosty and happy!
